
A 1963 graduate of Temple University Dental School Dr. Marvin went on to complete his internship / residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. He started his private practice in 1964 in Brick, NJ.
Shortly after beginning practice he was drafted into the U.S. Army. While practicing in the military, he was appointed Director of the U.S. Army Endodontic (root canal) Clinic at Fort Dix a position he held until June 1968.
Dr. Marvin has been on staff at both Paul Kimball Hospital and Jersey Shore Medical Center. He is a past member of the Northeast Gnathological Society and the American Equilibration Society both of which focus on occlusion (how teeth come together). He is currently a member of the Pankey Institute on Advanced Dental Studies and the American Dental Association, is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1984, is a founding member of the Jersey Coast Dental Forum in which he serves as a Restorative Dental Adviser, and is also a founding member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Tucker Cast Gold Study Club and the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators of New Jersey.
Dr. Marvin is also known as a "dentist's dentist". In 2002, he received New Jersey magazine's "Top General Dentist" award, as voted by his peers.
